Two years of city grime on the midsoles. One pass and they look like the pair I bought, not the pair I ruined.
Air Force 1 · white leatherDirty pair in. Same pair, minus the grey, out.
No bucket, no washing machine, no overnight drying rack. Pump the foam on, wait ten seconds, wipe with anything dry. That is the whole method, written out below — including the step most people skip, and the longer clean for a pair that has had a hard winter.
60 sec inWhite leather, one pass, unretouchedThree steps. Sixty seconds.
No water needed-
01
Pump
Two pumps of foam across the dirty area. Don't soak it — the formula does not need to be drowned.
-
02
Wait ten
It lifts the grime off the fibre so you're not grinding dirt back in. This is the part people skip.
-
03
Wipe
Dry cloth, paper towel, old t-shirt. Whatever's near. No rinse, no drying rack, no waiting.

When sixty seconds isn't enough
The longer clean, about four minutes
Stiff brush on a dry outsoleKnock the loose stuff off first — dry.
Pull the laces out. Take the stiff brush to the outsole and midsole with no foam on it at all and flick the dried mud and grit off. Twenty seconds of this is what stops the next step turning surface dirt into grey paste.
Wet dirt smears. Dry dirt leaves. Skipping this is the most common reason a clean comes out streaky.
Two pumps onto a white toeboxTwo pumps of foam, straight onto the shoe.
Hold the bottle upright, press all the way down twice over the dirty area, and leave it there for ten seconds. The foam is doing the work in that pause — it lifts the grime off the fibre so the cloth barely has to push.
More foam isn't faster. Two pumps per dirty area, one panel at a time, and no water anywhere.
Soft brush across a canvas upperWork it in — or, on suede, do nothing at all.
Sixty seconds needs no brush: pump, wait, wipe. On a pair that has been ignored for a season the brushes in the box earn their place — soft on the upper, stiff on anything made of rubber, and nothing but a dry cloth on suede.
Stiff bristles belong on rubber and nowhere else. The soft brush is not the gentle option — on an upper it is the correct one.
Leather does not need force — the foam has already lifted the dirt. Circles on a smooth panel show up as swirls once it dries.
Grey foam coming off onto the clothLift the dirt off, then buff the panel dry.
The grime is now sitting in the foam, not in the shoe. Wipe it away in one direction rather than circles, then go back over the panel with a dry part of the cloth. That second pass is what leaves the leather even instead of patchy.
Move to a clean part of the cloth every panel. A loaded cloth just moves the dirt around.
Finished pair, re-lacedAir-dry indoors, re-lace, wear them out.
They are already dry to the touch. Give them twenty minutes out of direct sun and off a radiator, put the laces back in, and they are done. No drying rack, no newspaper stuffing, no next-day wait.

After — same shoe, 60 secondsBought it for my kid's school shoes and now use it more than she does. No bucket, no drying overnight.
Sambas · suedeDidn't touch the crease marks, which they say up front. Dirt is gone though, and that's what I paid for.

Do this, not thatWater spreads the dirt into a grey film across the whole panel before the foam gets a chance to lift it.
More foam isn't faster. It only takes longer to wipe off, and leaves a tidemark if you rush the second pass.
The pause is the product working. Wiping immediately means you are pushing the dirt around rather than lifting it off.
A loaded cloth puts back everything you just lifted. Turn it as you go, or pick up the second one.

Before you try it on your own pair
Straight answers, including the unflattering onesDo I really never need water?
No water, no rinse, no bucket. The foam carries the cleaning agents and the cloth carries the dirt away. The only wet thing at the end is the cloth.
Will it wreck suede?
No, but treat it gently: pump lightly, blot with a dry cloth, don't scrub in circles. Suede takes two light passes rather than one heavy one. If the nap flattens, brush it back up once it’s dry.
Does it fix yellowed soles?
Partly, and we'd rather say so than oversell. Surface yellowing from dirt comes up. Oxidised rubber that’s been going yellow for years is a chemical change — no spray reverses that, ours included.
What about creases and scuffs?
No. A crease is the leather folding and a deep scuff has taken material off. The foam removes dirt; it can’t put structure back. Everything on this page is a dirt problem.
How many cleans in one bottle?
Around 40 full pairs at two pumps per dirty area. Heavy canvas cleaning uses more; a quick midsole wipe uses almost nothing.
